Pikaan: information-verification platform
AI platform designed to verify information and audit media claims
AI platform for information professionals, designed to analyze content and structure verification work.
Solo product design and development: architecture, UI, backend, database, AI workflows, and deployment preparation.
Shows my ability to build a complex product end to end, with clear domain logic and real product ambition.
_context
Pikaan is an AI product built solo from scratch, with more than a year of work across architecture, interface design, analysis workflows, and product preparation. It helps journalists and researchers import multimedia content, extract key claims, and cross-reference them against reliable sources in real time.
_contribution
I designed and built the entire product solo: handling the database schema, API design, frontend UI, LLM orchestration, and final deployment.
_what-I-built
- Import and analysis workflow for text, audio, video, and news-style content.
- Review interface for tracking claims, results, and source evidence.
- Backend and data layer for organizing content, verification states, and outputs.
- AI/LLM orchestration for automated media analysis and real-time editorial decision support.
_what-it-demonstrates
- Production-ready platform architected and implemented independently from the ground up.
- Seamless integration of a reactive user interface, secure API layers, structured database storage, and LLM orchestration.
- Purpose-built workflow engine optimized for professional research, media analysis, and fact-checking.
_details-on-request
Some product and technical details stay private to protect ongoing work. I can present the scope, architecture decisions, and an adapted demo in a professional conversation.
